Woolorama has a new president local farmer Howie Ward, he comes with lots of experience in community services and with engaging people to get things done. He is excited about his new role, giving him the opportunity to encourage young people with enthusiasm and passion to get involved in the decision-making processes behind the Woolorama. His personal approach to inspiring community interest at this level will benefit everyone.  He believes change brings about new perspectives and fresh ideas which will come from the newly formed committee, while he also acknowledges the hard work of those before, keeping the Woolorama the ongoing success story it is today.

Howie has been involved in the Woolorama for the past 14 years as the Wool Steward, so has a wealth of experience and appreciation of the work involved in the various sections throughout the year and during showtime.

He believes Social Media and the updated interactive Website will give Woolorama another more proactive approach to promoting itself to the next generation, across a wider section of society and will reach a more diverse demographic.

Howie, married to Margi for 37 years with 4 children and 6 grandkids moved to Wagin from Dumbleyung when the children went to Wagin school in 1988, and has been involved in many organisations in town since then, including but not limited to:-

PNC – Wagin School

Landcare - Founder

Jnr Football

St Johns Ambulance

Top Crop Grower Group

Awarded Citizen of the Year

The newly formed committee is excited for the 2019 Woolorama as they start to organise and ramp up the associated activities that come together in less than 4 months for another hugely successful agricultural show in Australia.  The Schedule will be out soon at so make sure you have your entries ready for submission.
